# How I work

My most important asset is knowing what needs to be built. How it gets built doesn't matter. Directing AI on what needs to be built, and knowing what does not get built or what doesn't work: that is my value proposition for the coming time.
I worked with screens for almost twenty-five, thirty years. Any interface, I designed. I am present where the process, the application or the underlying problem is most present.

## The process
The stakeholder that asks for a build is top-down. It doesn't happen often that the employee who uses it also has the mandate. There is always a translation between the stakeholder that thinks what is needed and the actual user that can express or audit what is needed.

- Go into the field. Seeing the actual product at work, the problems, the customer interaction.
- Interview. To separate the must-haves from the nice-to-haves.
- Translate. The output is audited by the actual stakeholder for whom the problem occurs. I just translate.

Building on assumption is the mother of all fuckups.

## What I call truth
A truth is a pattern that is found again and again in different domains. First a pattern is a candidate. Seeing it come back makes it factual. A model may not touch it or rewrite it.
An architect experiences it, a family doctor experiences it, I am a UX specialist and I have experienced it. Then it suddenly becomes factual. More factual than something that has only one source.

## The system behind it
My setup is outside of the standard models, on my own hardware. It's basically a recording studio of my expertise. Every time I see the same errors occur, I teach the system.

- Raw first, no summaries.
- Not your keys to the whole system, not your reasoning and not your knowledge.
- Never trust, verify. Patterns and repetition as the unit of capture.
